Therapy That Goes Deeper Than Coping Skills
We are a group of relational therapists serving adults and couples across Illinois, including the Chicago area. We help people move through relationship anxiety and conflict, the full spectrum of parenthood from identity shifts to postpartum, and those quiet, disorienting seasons where life looks fine on the outside but feels anything but.
Therapy That Feels Human And Actually Helps
At Hearten Therapy, our work goes beyond clinical expertise. We are grounded in values that shape how we show up in the room with curiosity, connection, and compassion. We believe meaningful change happens through authentic therapeutic relationships and intentional presence.
Our approach is modern and relational. We combine emotional insight with practical tools, prioritizing genuine connection, encouragement, humor, and client-centered care. We are committed to destigmatizing therapy, supporting mental wellness, and practicing cultural humility in every aspect of our work.

Our Story
Hearten Therapy began with a simple question. What if we built the kind of therapy practice we always wished existed?
Mollie and Emily met while working at the same group practice and quickly recognized a shared approach to therapy and a deep respect for one another’s work. What started as quick hallway conversations turned into long voice memos and thoughtful discussions about how therapy could feel more relational, more grounded, and more reflective of real life.
In 2021, they decided to stop asking what if and start building. Hearten Therapy was created as a practice rooted in meaningful connection, emotional depth, and space for both clients and clinicians to show up fully.
Our Values Are Rooted in Connection and Guided by Care
-
Authenticity and Relatability
We believe authenticity builds trust. Showing up as real humans allows clients to do the same. We bring our full selves into the work to create safety, openness, and genuine connection.
-
Encouragement and Humor
Encouragement is central to our work. We support growth through steady affirmation and thoughtful reflection. Humor is part of how we create warmth and balance, especially when therapy feels heavy.
-
Client-Centered Care
Your goals, values, and lived experience guide the work. We collaborate rather than direct, respecting your autonomy and tailoring therapy to your unique context.
-
Well-Being and Prevention
We care about more than symptom relief. Our therapists help clients build resilience, emotional awareness, and sustainable practices that support long-term well-being.
-
Destigmatizing Mental Health
We actively work to normalize therapy as a proactive and meaningful form of care. Seeking support is not a sign of failure. It is often a sign of insight and intention.
-
Cultural Humility and Inclusivity
We are committed to ongoing learning and cultural humility. Our practice strives to be inclusive and affirming for clients of all identities, backgrounds, and belief systems.
You don’t have to wait for things to fall apart.
You do not need a crisis to begin therapy.
If something feels off, or if you sense that something more is possible, we are here to help you understand what is happening beneath the surface.
We work with clients across Illinois navigating Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Parenthood Support, and Perinatal Therapy, especially during seasons of transition, uncertainty, and emotional shift.
